Jeez, Ish. Dunno what the "cardiac events" are, but I hope you are ok. You don't want to hear this, I know, but the Dean Ornish diet is supposed to actually reverse blockage of the arteries. 'Course, I think you are supposed to add yoga and meditation. I heard about it on National Public Radio, "All Things Considered," a month or two ago. It's not "fish, chicken and lettuce," it's whole grains and vegetables, no added fat. Well, I know a lot of people who would rather die. She says, as she picks up her mint julep glass. But, I did go for a walk, and I didn't eat anything with sugar (except the mint julep), and I ate a lot of green vegetables and I did eat red meat but it was very lean. And I am taking my glucophage and I have lost about 15 pounds, and my blood pressure is 120/80.

Beef and whisky stop the pain? I dunno. Denial is not a river in Egypt.
