Mark, I have no idea how long you have been programming or
how long you want to continue programming. Useful lifetime
of programmers who refuse to look at new technologies can
be very short.

CBuilder is continued revolution like Delphi (and soon Delphi 97).
It is all about productivity.

If you haven't used CBuilder, you owe it to yourself to at least
try it. Then come back here and engage me in a discussion of
pros and cons versus Microsoft Visual C++ 4.1. (I am currently
involved in a 8 person effort with MSVC 4.1).

That project would have been long over with a tool like CBuilder.
Decision to use MSVC was not technical, but a fear that Borland
as a company was in trouble and "betting with Microsoft is safe
inspite of productivity gains of several factors."

Use of CBuilder by Oracle is not just an
endorsement of technology, but is more than that. It is
a recognition by Oracle that Borland is a long term and
viable player in tools market for the developer.

That is the kind of endorsement that carries weight with
a lot of managers and VPs at companies.

You comment about CBuilder being a marginal improvement just
shows your ignorance.
