Slick - Re: "Which company has a legitimate gripe?"

Neither have a gripe.

Did you see Intel whining in Washington about big bad Sanders and his 25%-below-Intel-Cost K6/K6-2 sales approach ?

No !

Intel did their homework, came up with the Celeron and Mendocino and got Mendocino out into the market in lickety split time.

And the Mendocino is proving out to be a winner - in speed, performance and cost. Customers LOVE IT !

And what did AMD do?

They announced Sharpy in November, 1997 - to be available in H298.

Duuuhhhhh -- H298 has come and gone but where's Sharpy ?

Sharp Eye will be a Q299 product - TWO QUARTERS LATE !

Face it - AMD has screwed up.

Pure and Simple.

You just don't handle reality very well, Slick.
