Your rant set aside.. I can understand your intensity given the loses you must be experiencing. However do you really believe that Cisco's announcement has the market in turmoil? If you believe this then you should share my position that we want all the networkers to post good earnings...but instead you gloat when your competitors show weakness... Nonetheless, CSCO had great earnings. AND regardless of slowing sales in the enterprise space the still BEAT the number...how? By making it up in with service provider business. These aren't my words....they are right there in the press release - so don't beat me up. As for Carrier business, yes I did notice that LU is getting some strong sales. They landed a huge fiber contract......does that count? I'm not sure... anyway, I seem to remember CISCO recently annoucning significant deals in the past week or two with Sprint, GTE, PSInet... All pretty large service providers. I hear tell that there are a couple of more HUGE wins coming VERY SOON! Even with these wins I believe that ASND/LU will do very well going forward and is a great investment. Heck, I'm banking on it!!!!! I'm still not sure why you feel that the only way ASND/LU will succeed is with CSCO's failure. I can only surmize that you really don't understand the dynamics of the networking market. If you were smart you'd spread your portfolio a little more and take advantage of all the winners while also reducing to some degree your risk. Just a little friendly advice. BTW: I'm not sure why your shorts are all in a bunch. When you post something like "I mortgaged my house" you're going to have people stand up and take notice...especially after the market has been rolling and was getting toppy. I thought you were crazy when you said it but I still wished you well. I simply found it interesting that you all of the sudden have money to average down when I thought you had already mortgaged yourself up to the hilt. Apparently you simply pontificate just for the fun of it but really don't follow through...which is fine. I have no problem with that. But don't take the fact that I've watched, with interest, this little escapade out on me. OG
