I like to hear from this thread the opinion about a serious cooperation between CSCO and ERICY.I have heard and read in newspapers that the CSCO boss in Europe has been flirting with Ericsson rather aggressivly the latest days.I don't believe that CSCO could buy Ericsson because of the A and B shares where the A shares are controlled by swedish institutions. The CSCO said something like "CSCO and ERICY would make a wonderful match if they cooperated".I personally have heard that CSCO historically has been a bad company to cooperate with. They never gives away anything. But they could maybe have another approach now after Lucent and Nortel both have bought big datacom companies which will probably give a much harder competition for them.
On the QCOM thread they are talking about a possible ERICY takeover of their infrastructurebusiness. That's just a joke. What would Ericsson do with that lossmaking division? Secondly .Why would Ericcson buy something from a company where both the owners and the people working there seems to think that Ericsson is the evil empire.
I am still waiting for more GPRS contracts. The first one didn't really get the attention from Wall Street but I think when they have got a bunch of contracts and I am sure they will then they will wake up.My guess is that here is where the big growth will come from the next 2-3 years. There are over 200 GSM operators if I remember correctly and most of them will go for GPRS.That's a lot of infrastructurebusiness. So far Ericsson 1 contract. The rest 0.
