To all.

I believe Stratasys' stated decision to spend more money than expected on R&D in the first two quarters of '97 is well thought out. I suspect the additional R&D expenditures will be used to finish development of the 8000 machine and start development work on a machine that creates prototypes using metal. (The metal prototyping machine is pure speculation on my part.) I feel this stock will be driven more by their sales growth rate than eps until their product lines are fully developed. However, for the 4Q '96, I think SSYS has to show at least 25c of non-taxed earnings to keep this stock at its current price level.

BTW, you may want to check out the 3D Systems thread for a lively discussion comparing 3D's and Stratasys' products. Clarifications, corrections and input would be appreciated from this largely silent audience.
