Alan already recognizes this new dynamic. He was the restraining influence several times over the past two years when the rest wanted to tighten. I can produce segments of his speeches and comments where he has specifically referenced productivity and technological gains as offsetting factors to rising wages if required to substantiate. I don't know what the rest of the board would do but if they lost Alan, I would think we could go back to the German style economic restraint. (Alan even did some programming in his earlier years!<g>) If this happened, we could be back to 2% or less GDP growth. SCARY!
