Cosmo, Could you elaborate a little on: ...get a back up broker. I have one and any stock I want to sell through ETrade I can sell short with the other broker to box it until ETrade get back on line and then close both positions or close the one that's against me. There is nothing I'd like better than to internalize your motto of: Stop bitching and learn how to trade. The above idea, about getting a backup broker and shorting a stock when you want to sell when e*tirade (sic) is down, sounds plausible I would just like some details if you don't mind. Mahalo, Mike
