Most states have "reasonable restrictions". Besides, there is a substantial black market in guns, so that if a criminal truly wants one, it is easy to get. The honest citizen is mostly affected by regulation. By the way, I personally don't like guns much, and I don't buy all NRA positions, but I think they are mostly okay.
