What are you talking about? 15 years ago there was a paragraph in the first chapter of the book that talked about the "theory of the creation of a cosmic soup" where protoplasm was first "accidentally" organized that could begin reproducing itself. Not to scientific, just a wild guess that fit the scenario. Now as that theory is much more thought out it is regaining some momentum from the scientific community and is looking more and more like something that might someday not be in opposition to religious creationists ideas.

The rest of the book "except human evolution" has held its own since adaptation of the species is an observable and replicable science.
