IMO, the lower prices of many tech stocks related to the rivalry between Intel and AMD is too broad a brush. I expect this competition will help AMAT since more chips will be sold, and there will be increased pressure for productivity. In addition, both Intel and AMD will be under pressure to distinguish themselves from the other, which can only be done by more advanced, rather than commodity, chips---once again to AMAT's advantage. Soon it will be .18 and lower, and copper, each requiring equipment investment.
