ACTV is especially appealing because it's connected to a different approach to the power of the internet, and as the story continues to unfold, with related events and various news announcements, more and more people will be energized to buy. And the excitement of the story will continue for quite a while, as we're barely into the opening chapter now. Some of you, I think, will be interested in another little company (Off Topic caution here), a fast-growing manufacturer of cutting-edge ATM machines, that has even a different slant on internet e-commerce and is just beginning to get noticed. It's selling at 3, made $.25 in 1998, and is headed for $.35 plus in 1999. I suggest that you check the news on ATMS over the past several months and consider this provocative exerpt from the latest quarterly report. The quote's from the CEO:
"While our core businesses
continue to grow, all eyes are focused on the future as Tidel prepares to enter the e-commerce arena. We are on schedule for the rollout of the industry's first Internet Transaction Machine (ITM) in May 1999. This ITM --the Chameleon -- is the ideal platform for e-commerce in locations away from the home and office. We are presently negotiating agreements with selected technology partners that provide for participation by Tidel in the e-commerce revenue generated by this platform. Tidel expects to complete the first of
these agreements during this quarter."
(My main stock holdings for capital appreciation this year are IATV and ATMS.)
