Ian: I understand why you might be angry and frustrated, but your personal attacks against some analysts are uncalled for. You speak of Rob MacLellan as though he were a moron but you have to admit his call on NN has been quite good over the last year. And are you sure he was let go at Kearns or did he take a better position with Scotia and a home base he preferred?

As well, your comparison of Newbridge with Coke, Pepsi and Gillette, as companies that evolved quite well with one product is somewhat absurd. Those companies had advantages that NO technology company with the possible exception of Microsoft has today. Not only were they world-renowned companies with trademarked names and patents, but they had a unique product and a competitive advantage that allowed them to dominate a market. That is not true of any company in technology today with the exception of the aforementioned MSFT.

Newbridge should be able to bounce back, but they will have their work cut out for them just to regain the confidence of the investment community. In this day and age, you can't afford to be erratic or you will lose the premium that comes with growth companies. That is beginning to show with a lot of software companies, particularly Canadian ones.
