...outstanding !

Very difficult to flip-to-short position quickly enough; with your help, though - I did manage to nail the top of this wave @ 46; I had 1xBLS position @ 43-9/16 this time. Perhaps I should have simply "sold 2xBLS @ 46" ( like you did inadvertently ;-)

>Interesting transaction today... Lo and Behold, I sold 1500 shares of BLS at $45-15/16. Well, I had actually sold these yesterday at $44-3/8 (changing the previously entered GTC sell order).

I called the broker and said that I think we have a problem as I'm now short in an IRA. Specifically, I asked (since it was their screw-up) if I could cover (he-he). They went away to scratch their heads, but going to be interesting with the close today... (~43-3/4)

Although not in an IRA, some years ago I made a mistake and had two outstanding orders in the system, a STOP and a LIMIT, both to exit, (very early E*TRADE), thinking that execution of one would negate the other; I ended up with a SHORT, too, which didn't show up until the next day. Realizing my mistake, I covered and chalked it up to another lesson learned from the school of hard-knocks (^_^)

It's the government that prohibits (direct) IRA short-sales -?

Yeah, TB - clear that up ASAP.

Thanks again for your help, Berney; +5.5% net today.

-Steve
