Hi everyone on this thread... interesting thread I just discovered through a search for info on QLGC? I am wondering if anyone here is familiar with the co. and can comment on their prospects, competitors, and your opinion on the short to medium term outlook? Also can you explain to a non techno guy what the highlighted part of this sentence means? What is the "fibre channel" (does it just mean fiber optic lines, or is this a new technology I need to learn about) QLogic focuses primarily on products using the SCSI (small computer system interface) standard, but it is expanding its product line to include the higher-performance fibre channel standard.
