Actually, it is you who is the imposter seeking to claim the (imagined, IMO) "glory of the ancient Israelites". Deep inside you know you are an imposter, so you hate those who are in the place you want to be.

You should be content to be yourself. None of us need to appropriate the ethnic/religious heritage of another.
