I'm certainly no Warren Buffet! But I saw three key items that
got me interested & eventually more financially committed to NEON.

1) As I've mentioned before, one of the initial disclosed holders
in this company was an out fit called "Rockfell"(sp?). It is the
investment arm of the Rockefeller family. Since the Standard oil
days, and before, they've done a heckuva lot better than the
DeShong family!

2) The IBM affiliation you mentioned.

3) The Depository Trust Company adopted NEON's software as their
defacto standard. Maybe a lot of folks are not familiar with
DTC. They are THE holder of domestic stocks for darned near every brokerage firm in the World. While DTC is NOT a Federal
agency, nor is it affiliated with the U.S. Government, it is to
stocks what Fort Knox is to gold.

In my opinion, big names like that give the product a lot of credibility. About ten years ago I learned a lesson about credibility.
Through pure blind luck, I was introduced to a company that traded
on the Toronto Exchange called GEAC computers, Ltd. I bought the
stock around $1.35 American. It's split and last I looked was around $35.00 American. There primary product was a computerized library
catalouging system. That meant nothing to me. But when I looked
at their list of current customers, one name in particular stood
out as a pretty good reference. The outfit's name was The Vatican.
(Yeah, the same people that brought us the Popemobile.)

You have to remember... technologies come & technologies go. I remember when DOS 5.0 was a huge breakthrough in computing Operating
Systems.

My own personal experience indicates companies are like people...
they tend to be strongly influenced by the company they keep. I like
the track record of NEON's "friends". <g>

Now, any fundamental or technical analyst could rip that hypothesis to
shreds. And I couldn't argue with them. But I'll put my old fashioned
"horse sense" and GEAC's & NEON's track records up against the prettiest 8 x10 glossy technical charts. 8-)

I hope we both have much success in the future. Certainly no guarantees, and if you are new to NEON my cost basis is FAR lower
than yours, which also influences one's perspective.

Best Regards,

Doug
