Online brokerages have been unable to keep up with mouse- clicking investors, who have increased their online trades by an estimated two-thirds since October to more than 400,000 a day, analysts say. The stocks have ''too much hype'' surrounding them, said Dan Veru, president of Awad Asset Management Inc., which oversees $1 billion. ''Brokerage firms are a better play as they already have an existing infrastructure and clients.''
