My understanding is that they already have a roll out date set for sometime this spring with Hart Communications in Georgia to introduce 80 channel digital "cable-like" services to a few thousand customers. They also signed an agreement with a Hong Kong distributor to go ahead and try to make their system the standard in the China region.

With Hart they mentioned they want to be the ones to provide the content on the system. In other words make an M-Phase branded cable alternative to compete with Cox,Time-Warner, etc. This could be a nice residual income opportunity for them as well.
The key though is to get their system into as many households as they can before they get run over.
My understanding is that distance (2-3 miles and over) is the barrier to the speed of the system. The longer the distance the less speed there is; significantly less speed.

Give the company a call. They were very nice and were suprised when I called in October. I couldn't even remember where I heard of them. But look at them just a few months later. Somebody has heard of them now!
