*Politicians stopping Russian launches* Message 7673857
This was predictable. A month or so ago I was going on about the price of oil and the pressure that was putting on Saudi Arabia and the oil industry. Even with Iraqi oil mainly off the market the price was dropping. Currently about $10 per barrel which is only $1 from the lows. I suggested that Iran and others, such as Libya were likely to come under pressure for 'weapons of mass destruction' 'concealing terrorists' or other offences against the New World Order. While I wouldn't go so far as to say there is a direct correlation, it's a pleasant coincidence that there is some alleged nuclear weapons transfer to the evil state of Iran just when it's time to do something about the low price of oil.
An easy way to increase the price of something is to reduce somebody else's supply. So a politician says: "Hey, I've got an idea. What about cutting Iran's exports until they fall into line on nuclear weapons? Also Russia exports a lot of oil and they want to launch rockets to make money, so we can squeeze them really good too! Heck, every launch lost costs them $100m." Of course the politician didn't actually have the idea; it would have been suggested to them by a lobbyist or three, all singing the same tune.
But guess what you stupid politicians, it costs the owners of the satellites a hell of a lot more than that! Those owners are mostly American! "Sure, but they are big democratic party donors who give our secrets away to Chinese nuke launchers - to hell with them!"
Also, why on earth would Russia want to sell Iran nuke technology which would most likely be used against Russia? Iran isn't going to deliver them to New York any time soon. With the price of oil as it is, it seems very odd that Iran would want any power station nuclear technology, so just what technology are we talking about and what evidence is there that it isn't just another absurd military intelligence scam?
Meanwhile, it seems as though some USA politicians are going to save the USA and the world by stopping some more evil-empire launches of Globalstar.
Prepare for a blockade on Iran to stop oil exports which are being used to fund purchase of weapons of mass destruction from Russia.
That should get the price of oil up! Meanwhile, as expected, Iraq is being used to keep the USA military tuned up with some real life practise. Now, with King Hussein dead, it is possible that there could be some disruption there. Palestinians might prefer to take over Jordan. Iraq might agree with them. Saudi Arabia might have an opinion and lend some support. Syria wouldn't want to be ignored. Israel will be nervous about who is running the show next door and they won't be keen on Saddam peering over the fence so they might take some pre-emptive action.
Xena Albright has already paid a visit to Jordan and the new King to suggest to everyone that the USA is somewhat uptight too about what goes on there and not to be too hasty about any actions.
Meanwhile, in the midsts of this, we are trying to get some nice, happy, helpful 'people talking to people' satellites off the ground. How come human dreams and aspirations are so often damaged by kleptocrats, thugs and authoritarian types? They should get a real job.
Let's get the satellites off the ground - the money is incidental to the Russian economy and the delay is much more damaging to USA interests than Russian. Not to mention mine of course.
