ZP Wow.... Are you making this up to prove a point to me?<g> If not, your timing is uncanny!! I haven't done any PM cloning yet, but DI seems to reboot at the close of any series of operations. You seem to indicate doing one operation at a time with its own reboot to be the prudent thing to do. I would not give you an argument against that after reading your story. I'm really sorry to here of your ordeal, but glad you can just reinstall without any loss data. The lesson here for all of us, obviously, is to procede with caution when messing with your hdd. I'm going to print that post.... let me reread it.. back to you later Clarence
