Gary O-- running the same 8 scans on the entire db- took about 19.5 minutes. I use a 233 mhz pentium laptop. However- I find it makes more sense for me to run a pre-scan once a week on the entire group and then run my scans nightly on the "selected profile of stocks". Thus only 1 minute 20 seconds.

I fully recognize your truths about simplicity. Makes sense to me. The nice thing about a democracy is that each of us can pick and choose what suits us best.
