Hi John I might be way offbase..(I am one of those dinasaur mainframe assembly programmers who didn't have to worry about space and didn't have to put in a smaller date field)..but have you read any articles about Year2000 and how many major corporations are already entering data beyond year two thousand..ie credit cards,mortgages,insurance companies,banking here etc..have you read how many companies have already put in new systems with new equipment to bystep the problem? have you read any articles about embedded chips that are standalones so won't gum up any systems? How much corporate america has already spent in remediation? ps I still wouldn't take an airplane ride at the first of next year though..just in case.. bobby (ps I figure you are the expert since I can't imagine how many articles you have read by now..) (I think when gold moves big time it won't be because of year2000-)
