Get a grip, del !

I'd like to help set the record straight about Newt, too. Since you probably won't be hearing this from the mainstream media, here's news of Newt's vindication by no less than the IRS.

I tip my hat to Newt!

To the mainstream media... I give a loud raspberry and a vigorous finger salute.

MRC Blasts Networks For Spiking Vindication of Gingrich
"The Same Shameless Media Who Attacked Newt Gingrich
For Months Refuse To Acknowledge His Innocence"

ALEXANDRIA, Va.
--- "Bias defined." Those are the words Media Research Center
Director of Media Analysis Tim Graham is using to describe the extraordinary
decision by the Big Three network news departments to spike the story of Newt
Gingrich's vindication by the IRS.

"The same shameless media who attacked Newt Gingrich for months now refuse to
even acknowledge his innocence and vindication. This is bias defined, pure and
simple," Graham said.

Graham noted that despite an Associated Press report picked up by many newspapers,
as well as a New York Times story yesterday, the Big Three network morning news
shows didn't even run a mention of Gingrich's vindication. Neither have the evening
network newscasts mentioned the Gingrich story. The only network to run a story was
CNN, a full report by Brooks Jackson on CNN's Inside Politics and a mention
of the story on the CNN 8:00pm eastern time newscast as well.

"The same unfailingly partisan media which feverishly demanded Gingrich's head on
a platter over this non-scandal thinks perjury and obstruction are sorry subjects
to be glossed over," Graham said.
