did Nt automatically setup as a dual boot with w95 as spots indicated?

YES

It came up with a screen showing both of my harddrives and all of my partitions and free space. Similar to what you see in PM but all on one page.

It wants to know where to install NT. There is also an option to delete a partition. I could have deleted the Win95 partition and installed NT in its place (that is what I will do when I try the stand alone NT install)

I opted to install NT in the FAT partition with Win95. After that no more choices wrt Win95.

When she boots you see a screen with 3 choices.

1. NT

2. NT VGA (NT's safe mode??)

3. Microsoft Windows

It defaults to NT and executes NT in 30 sec +/- if you do not make a choice (this can be altered somewhere in NT)
