Reagan and Bush botched things up nicely. Instead of taking a leadership position in the Eastern bloc and helping the bankrupt Soviets convert to capitalism, we left them twisting in the wind. Now, instead of contributing to the world economy, they are dragging it down. Our irresponsible and arrogant attitude has earned us enmity in this part of world as a result. Tom
