Hello billwot. I just read all the posts and watched all the business shows from last night. Tony is right. All the business shows were touting Intel and that Kim remark was pretty funny.

Too bad you were not able to get Intel in the low 120's. One brokerage analyst, Mr. Farrell, stated on one of those shows that Intel and the techs could see a bit more profit taking but that he was buying Intel yesterday also. He said something to the effect that when a good stock comes down you just have to close your eyes and get in. Another analyst opined that the market gave investors a great gift by dropping Intel to those levels. I am sure things will be looking up soon for the techs. I am hearing that Intel will drop the price of the Celeron chip on Monday instead of sometime in February. I think the date in Feb. was the 18th. Let's hope that some analysts will not make hay of that and yell about profits again. Intel has stated that their margins are increasing and if chips are getting cheaper, more computers will be bought and a price cut should therefore not affect the bottom line. But then I am not an analyst, so I think different.

AOL. Don't forget that the split will be on Feb 22nd and AOL is profitable. Some analyst said yesterday that internet stocks will be growing for years to come. He even mentioned Amzn, my prev. holding gg, and said that Amzn could be profitable now if they wanted to be. And AOL has a PE in the area of 300+ I think. Pretty cheap for an internet stock. But don't jump in because of my musings. It probably will be very volatile for a while. Just keep an eye on it if you are interested.

Oh. Almost forgot. I think it was Mr. Farrell that said that Intel has a PE of 20 to 25 this years earnings depending to whom you are listening to.

Sonny

PS. I am running out of time for posting so I will mention something else on here.

Sev. well known technicians think that the sell off will be over on Monday or sometime next week and then a strong upward reversal should occur into April.

The rest of the replies to posts have to wait now until tomorrow.

Frank sold his AOL. He could not stand the volatility. gg. But hey, the saying goes: One bird in hand is worth two in the bush.
