Reading between the lines, there is an implication that MSFT never intended to develop it's own multiuser software, it just used vaporware as a club to lower CTXS stock price, and get their attention in order to get better terms. In fact, the more I think about it, the more that sounds like Microsoft at work.
A key statement is that Iacobucci thinks the new arrangement makes CTXS less dependent on MSFT. Another vote of confidence is CTXS stock price - it wouldn't be this high if the collective wisdom of the market was that the stock would collapse by this winter.
I wish I understood more of the details of the licensing arrangement.
