There has been a lot of discussion today about whether PNLK is doing the job right. It seems that the only real issue is can they pull it off. I too have had some concerns that there really is not enough on the webtool to make it attractive enough to gain the memberships needed to become profitible. I am a paying member so I have full access. There a lot of good informative links on the site and you can search for companies that make whatever and get many responses. The news section is updated everyday as well. However, there is basically no classified ads listed. I have seen Unz listed as selling trains and lollipops. I asked about this and was told I caught them during one of their tests. The discussion section is nonfunctional. The overall impression I get is that it seems kind of stagnant. I mentioned some of these things to Glenn in an e mail and asked if there will be any changes before v3. He responded with no due to the complexity of v3. My interpretation of all this is that they are paying little attention to what is there now and are putting all the efforts into getting v3 finished. Glenn has stated on more than one occasion that it will be done by the end of March. I suspect he is working very hard to ensure that this does not slip. I think that if v3 is significantly delayed or does not knock everyone over, they will lose much respect and credibilty, and the investors will start to head for the exits.

As I have said on more than one occasion, some of my major reasons for this investment is the alliances they have established with companies or associations that are well established with good reputations. It is hard for me to think all these groups would have allowed the public announcements of these arrangements if they had not very carefully investigated PNLK and concluded it was likely to work out to their benefit. So far, it is not obvious that this is the case. It is often hard to get detailed information about what is happening and what the progress is. I have been told that a major part of this is intentional so as to avoid "helping" the 80 or so other companies which offer some of the services that PNLK has. They are deliberately keeping a low profile so they will not tip off the competition. However, as v3 is completed, all the stops will be pulled and the world will know what the company has to offer. I sure hope this is the case. I have been told that v3 will blur the distinction between reality and the internet and PNLK is going to be the first site to show these possibilities that Click is implementing. I am waiting as is everyone else. If I am not very impressed by the release of v3, I too may consider looking elseware.
