I still wonder why LU,NTL,CS,ALA & others have recently announced
intended lay off near 10% of their workforce. That equivalence never
occurred in the early days of the Steam revolution. The Industrial boom surely must be pale compared to the spectacular boom you envisage.
Every revolution is different. the current phase of net buildout has grown spectacularly if could rely of leagacy. the next wave of the revolution will be to fully utilize the net ie broadband. there is a global economy and flow of capital to the asian market note the nex fiber being laid accross the pacific and atlantic the launch if iridium the building of net 2 by feds. the technology for dealing with the last mile cable fiber wire wireless remains to be funded but tas the big telcos have doisplayed by buying atm that they realize that in order to compete they will need broadband capabilities. if you are in the center of a hurricane all may seem quiet. from where i sit there is a tremendous amount of infrastructure being laid that will require ATM to bring full integration of broadband to the masses. if you don't see this than i have problems understanding why you would waste your time with NN. what the time framew and who will win the race. NN is nmot laying off anyone they are increasing ATM ramp by building plant for Siemens[oversee] they have a lot of business and customers who would love broadband. any country without it will be behind jusdt like any enterprise that doesn't have a real time information system is doomed to be less effiecient. enough opinion and philosophy for me. Time for a good flick.
