Another tactic

is for interested parties to be completely non-committal and let the share price decline as far as possible. The idea being, of course, to demoralize and discourage shareholders into selling out, throwing in the towel and moving on. You've heard it before: "The stock went up just after I sold it; after it had been down in the gutter for so long."

An inability to sustain unrealized losses is always shaken out by force. Then the "lucky" 5% - 10% or so can move in and pick up shares littering the street.

Considering the psychology of most CYI holders after what's been going on for the last three months in particular, I'll bet they'll jump at even the most feeble offer for the company, just to have this episode in their investment experience over with. And at that, they'll consider themselves lucky!.
