Silver Loans, Buffet, etc.

Thanks for the kind words, Bill! I am also rooting for GATA to make big waves......and I know you will.

WB's purchase definitely is an important milestone in the silver market.......it would be great to know:

*Does he still hold his silver?
*Is he leasing it? If so, is he rolling over the loans?
*Is he buying more?

Cliff Droke wrote today that Buffet has sold:

"It seems the recent spike in silver prices is yet another short, sharp "suckers" rally, the variety of which we saw last year when the announcement was made that Warren Buffet had purchased 130,000 tons of silver at an average of $5/ounce. Of course, immediately thereafter the price fell back to its previous low level and Buffet ended up liquidating his entire store of silver at just about what he paid for it, according to the London Financial Times."

My feeling is that he would not buy that much silver, ship it to London only to sell it back at $5. Wasn't it said he "watched silver for 30 years before buying"? I'm sure he had a specific plan laid out before he made the purchase....

It would be great to see an update in Midas if you can dig up the facts.

Silver loans also seem to be a key issue. I have been enjoying Ted Butler's work, but I really would like to see more details regarding:

*WHO has made the loans?
*HOW MUCH of the loans (total ounces) are still outstanding?

Ted Butler provides a 1B ounce estimate for the total outstanding loan figure......I'd love to see a breakdown of who made the loans.

Let's do it........!
