Pezz--Scott makes some excellent rods.
I have cast a few and owned a glass Scott years ago. Generally Sage are considered the best (though certainly not by all fly rodders) with Loomis a close second. I own nothing but Sage rods now but after trying many of the rods out there I do not feel they have a large jump on the competition at this time.
If at all possible I would suggest you get to a fly shop that will let you try some rods out. While I suspect you will like a good graphite better than your current glass it can be a terrible shock (and an expensive one) to discover a rod later on that you like better. There are some superb rods being made by Scott, Loomis, Orvis, Winston and others. I was in San Mateo, California this past Wednesday for the Fly Fishing Exposition and was able to check some of the rods out.
As far as the Scott rods at that price are concerned check out this site:
www.cabelas.com
I would also check and see if Scott has a web site. That $325 price looks a bit high to me. Cabelas has this years model cheaper (doesn't mean better obviously, but still the ones in the current fly fishing catalog are cheaper and have a lifetime warranty. The SAS model Scotts were the ones I tried and liked.
All the Best
