John, if you start to look at issues outside of the parameters I listed I think you are liable to get caught up in market bubbles. That is exactly what happened in Japan during the 80's. Stocks were driven up not by the fundamentals I've been discussing, but the firm belief that the market was guaranteed by a never-ending flow of cash into the equity markets. Perhaps this works in the short run, but those kinds of extraneous considerations make me very nervous. TTFN, CTC
