PS: Just to confuse you a bit, let's say improved medical informatics tools make drug development a faster and therefore cheaper process. That of course means that more drugs addressing diverse ailments can be developed in the same span of time as before. Does that also mean that the supply for an individual drug will increase in the market (the demand of course still remains the same as it is restricted by recommended doses)? Since demand remains the same and the improvement was not in the product manufacturing process (as opposed to the product development process) perhaps supply will also remain the same? But in real life the price for the drugs generally fall in that scenerio. What a mess, supply remains the same, demand remains the same, price drops! Don't you think such a scenerio should be outlawed lest Economics departments around the country start to get sued?
