Take a look at TRCD, Tricord Systems. Rod Canion, one of the people that began Compaq, was the principal participant in a private offering in December 1998. Since then, a couple of former CPQ marketing executives joined TRCD.

The company is apparently tight lipped about the timing of their upcoming software marketing efforts, but it cannot be too far away if they are now hiring the marketing people.

Also, and this is pure rumor, is that Canion has told a golfing buddy that the plan is to run the stock, legitimately by releasing information on their new software and promoting its future growth potential, to approximately 15, split at that point and then let it keep running up. The time table that I was told was 90 days for the 15 price target.

The thread on this stock does not provide much information. Look at the news releases since December.
