marion,

Well said. When will the music stop? Just like the title of this thread. I think that the first quarter revenue figure might be a disappointment. In the fourth quarter, they had about $75 million in revenue, which included about $10 million of "e-commerce" stuff. Also, every page had a banner. If you flipped through the chat pages, literally every page had an ad. I think they ran some kind of promo, because on January 1, 1999, the pages looked like a ghost town. It took me 20 pages to find an ad. I am not sure how they will do well in the first quarter, other than putting out some garbled pro forma combined Geocities bullshit. "Including this, excluding that, assuming this but not that, we really had a great quarter" said Tim Koogle, Chariman and CEO of the withering company. "We suffered somewhat due to our focus on making the merger of the century best for our shareholders and our customers". "And by the way, thanks again to our main shareholder, Softbank, for giving us that little extra that we needed to make the quarter"

Guru.
