I honestly believe they will give some of it to the shareholders.....
the exact quantity or ratio, who knows. What I am really hoping is that we will be able to buy some at the IPO.....it that happens....
we all could be rolling in the dough! Now, how can DELL compete in that arena?
Dell makes a good box, in fact, I have one, and one CPQ also.......
and they have a good business model, no doubt, but now, CPQ business model is better. The past results speak for themselves, but that is the past, will dell continue to do well, absolutely....CPQ has many other areas that can sustain growth, other than boxes.
Sorry for rambling there, I've been lurking for a few days and I must say I am somewhat disgusted at the tone of the thread the past few days.....It's like I'm reading the DELL thread,

Yes, i believe we will get something like 10:1, maybe a little more, maybe a little less, the key is, can we purchase it at IPO?
Somehow, I don't think we will, imagine how many sharelholders will want thousands of shares......that would be an incredible amount of stock. What I would like to see, even if it's not probable.....
is for EP to say....."Shareholders as of 3/1/99 will be able to purchase up to 2X (or whatever) of AV at the IPO..........
can you imagine what that would do to CPQ stock price......
OUCH!!!!! that sure would give us some momentum......
