I thought Novell had a lock on DT. Oh well, par for the course <no g>.
Deutsche Telekom AG, Germany's telephone monopoly, said it will
begin building intranets for the "lucrative German corporate
market and will offer Netscape Communications as its preferred
software supplier." This article says that for Netscape, the
deal is a "major foot in the door" of the European market at a
time when it is suffering "bruising" competition in its main
U.S. market from Microsoft and IBM. Deutsche Telekom, which
has about 200,000 employees, is looking at building its own
intranet. Currently, the company uses communications software
made by Lotus and Novell. Wall Street Journal, 2/5/97 p.b2
Well, what can I expect from a lame marketing organization? ...Joe...
