stockbot, re: shopping bots my prediction for what it's worth: inktomi will release their shopping comparison engine in the near future - IMO, it will be the best one out there - a portal would pay to use it and tailor it to their needs (just like they pay inktomi to use their search engine) wouldn't the brand you referred to then be associated with inktomi and/or the portal that is using it - how are the ecommerce giants going to play this game? eg. AMZN by not participating with the shopping bot? - will they have to participate or loose market? you make an interesting point - please explain it a bit more - i guess i don't understand how the portals will be willing to loose some of these ecommerce giant's lucrative fees if they decide to setup a shopping bot - what about portals that have exclusive arrangements with some of these ecommerce sites? comments from anyone welcome, thanx and regards, m
