You and ed should be FORCED to use Windows for the rest of your life ... <ggg> You're absolutely right. Some people won't get it. Try an Apple or Linux operating system before you judge. Keep an open mind. A "nominal cost" of $197 versus $72 for a more reliable office suite? Are you going to use a different version of Windoze 2000 at work than you do at home? The bigger the code gets the less reliable it will be IMHO. Let's see ... hum ... a more reliable, more powerful operating system for less money. It is a tough decision, I know. It will become easier as more and more applications are ported to Linux. Linux isn't for everyone. Best of luck. Linux ... TRY it, you'll love it.
