I am sure that your PM/HDD problems have nothing to do with Maxtor's hardware--rather with MaxBlast

The problem occurred before MaxBlast ever saw my machine.

I found the release notes for 4.01..I can't find them today to link to. I have trouble navigating and finding things on their site.
