Chopper Can a Canadian trade Canadian stocks through a US discount brokerage Yes Canadians can trade Canadian stocks through a U.S discount brokerage. The big problems: 1. Only some of the discount brokers deal with Canadian stocks 2. Most charge more for Canadian trades 3. I have heard from several people that the U.S brokers are just as slow as the Canadian brokers when it comes to buying Canadian stocks. (any comments from people presently doing this) Is there an another service beside Stockwatch that one can get real time quotes and market depth There are several other services that offer Canadian Realtime quotes and market depth. Most of these services are can't hold a candle to CSW. If you don't mind paying 5-6 times the price of CSW then check out Pcquotes. pcquote.on.ca. PcQuotes also carry NASDAQ level II and have buying intergrated with Priority Brokerage. If Canada Stockwatch keeps crashing and having delays I am going to consider switching over to PcQuotes. The money I have lost in the past couple months resulting from CSW crashes and delays would have paid for PcQuotes for a year. Best Regards KEITH
