RE: FWIW, the article is somewhat critical of Compaq, points out that it has been trying for 5 years and has 'an anaemic 4% market share" Not being critical of CPQ here...but, just commenting on why I love the possibilities of Dell exploding in CHINA...The knowledge that this thread has taught me with concerns to the Dell "culture"....IMO DELL's virtual integration fits the culture of the Chinese perfectly....Dell is the bargain of all ....the quality that is surpassed by no one...and the service which is the envy of the others... Reading about Dell's plans in China over two years ago (IBD) sparked my first major move into more Dell stock..why?? I believe DELL and the Chinese culture are a perfect match....if the direct method and quality have conquered the other continents of the world...Dell IMO will rapidly expand in CHINA...Mort telling us some of the projections this past August made my visions of future growth expand...this is the main reason why I predict DELL will have five splits in the next five years....CHINA is such a trump card...who really knows how fast they will take to DELL?? But, we know that the acceleration of their thirst for technology is constantly growing at a rate no one seems to have the low pulse figure on...I look forward to this earnings report with great interest... hoping that during the conference call or on CNBC Michael or management talk of where they anticipate Dell to be headed...
