I watched Rubin say these things to a congressman this week. The congressmen were asking stupid questions.."so if there's a surplus, why does the national debt ceiling have to go up?" "and if the debt ceiling is going up, who's going to pay for it..our children?" Rubin's veiled response was "I don't have to answer your questions, and you won't understand even if I told you.". I got cold shivers watching it.
