T as a Dow Dog

Chip Anderson writes, about Motley Fool's UV4+ system: "I am now holding these stocks for 18 months rather than 12 months due to the tax consequences."

Chip, that's last year's system... the tax rules were switched back to 12 months for long term gains in 1998, and The Fool adjusted their system to match. Not that it will hurt for you to hold a little longer.

"I agree that T now appears to be behaving more like a growth stock (steady rise) than a Dog (long sideways, then a rapid spike upwards). And, while a short-term correction is indicated on the chart, the long-term continues to look very good indeed."

I'm trying to decide how long to keep T... or whether to shift some capital around and hold it longer-term. My Dogs expire in July, and it looks like it could be worth keeping longer than that.
