Buy a diamond ring on the internet, and you're not going to get any of these benefits, unless you're comfortable packing up your diamond ring and shipping it off in the USPS/UPS/FEDX truck. No way, Jose. None of the married women closely related to me (sisters, sister-in-laws) would do that. If their husbands had ordered their ring off the internet, they probably would have called off the wedding. :-) Dwight, I agree completely on most points. Typically, any jewelry store will clean and check ones prongs for free even if not bought there. However, the gurantee of loss of stone, is premised on being checked regularly by the jeweler from which it was purchased. The largest issue is the item is not a commodity. One has to see it to compare. A picture, no matter how good, will not do. Glenn
