Colin,

I currently have a margin account and have never made a cash withdrawal. I currently have 10k debt on this account (via margin loan for stock) which puts my account at lets say 90% equity.

Problem: I need to withdrawal cash and also want to continue to deduct my margin interest. What to do?

Can I do this? Sell enough stock to pay back the loan plus the amount I want to withdrawal. Withdrawal the cash. Now repurchase the stocks back with less equity(possibly 80% now).

Any help? Ray S
