On-line mortgage applications are here. I got a flyer in the mail the other day from Rock Financial where I got my mortgage from. They now allow you to apply for loans and fill out the forms via the net. Yes it does make it easier to apply for a loan. The problem is that mortgages are a commodity business and as more comparison information becomes available on the net the margins will drop. Wait, this kind of sounds like the e-brokers, except you only get a new new mortgage every few years (refinancing).

I kind of think the next (or near next) boom will be in the underlying infrastructure companies that allow e-commerce to occur. Something like the area of BVSN, OMKT, CKFR and ECHO or something along those lines.
