Don't look him up, he was a teacher of mine. We hated each other, in order to pass, I had to bribe him, as I had no other choice. Later, he became a politician.
He also said: (to me)
"Take up Latin, it is a language seldom spoken anymore, that way you won't have to say much".

Later in his life he fell off of a bus, broke both legs, took a long time to heal, became an alcoholic, a drug addict and a communist.
I guess the guy was merely unlucky, not only was he an economics professor, (and a bureaucrat), but he became a communist to boot. To make matters worse, towards the end of his life, he had Alzheimers.
I heard that his mates of the party ended up hating him as well, (as he sold off to the opposition). They organized a horror-custom party dance on the day of the death, (Nov 1).
As the dancing and celebrating on his grave went on all night, the party became an orgy filled with excess, there was a fight and two people shot each other to death... the bodies laid there on top of his grave decomposing for five days....
One of the deceased, was Mr. Raya's own cousin... (Jesus Raya), he was a catholic priest that did not approved of his cousin's political inclinations. The other person killed was Mr. Raya's former lover, Ms. Chonita Gudiño.
Later in the police investigation, it turns out, that Ms. Gudiño had become the lover of well... El Padre (Jesus Raya).
The motive of the shooting was due to a disputed inheritance between the priest and his lover. The dear professor was able to amass a small fortune, thanks to his.... well, political abilities.
